The Peninsula Bangkok is thinking pink during October in partnership with The Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer. This year’s pink for a purpose campaign in support of Breast Cancer Awareness includes a French-inspired Peninsula en Rose Afternoon Tea, plus a plethora of pink-themed pastries, desserts and cocktails, and a rose-tinted spa promotion.
The Peninsula in Pink experience begins on arrival, as guests enter through decorated doorways guarded by two stone lions illuminated in pink. Eye-catching displays of fresh pink flowers invigorate the lobby, and staff will sport pink ribbon pins all month. Even the hotel’s deluxe riverboat has been bedecked with a giant pink ribbon to convey a message of hope during its voyages along Bangkok’s River of Kings.
Signature treats include pink guestroom toiletry bags with Oscar de la Renta bathroom products, a Pink Moon cocktail served in each bar, and a Pretty in Pink spa package featuring a pink mud wrap. The Peninsula en Rose Afternoon Tea features smoked salmon on “pink” toast, pink chocolates and raspberry scones, while Peninsula in Pink Macarons are stocked at The Peninsula Boutique. For the ultimate pink indulgence, Pastry Chef Olivier Paris has reimagined the Berry Saint Honoré dessert as a caramelised circle of choux pastry filled with kirsch cream and topped with vanilla whipped cream and berries. Now, that’s what we call perfection in pink!
